- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions focusing on various issues including, but not limited to, SMI, crisis intervention, and gender-related concerns.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and direct support techniques to facilitate client progress.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in outpatient therapy required in the State of Maine.
- Provide support and clients of all ages, addressing their unique emotional and mental health needs.
- Familiarity and completion of section 17 documentation for approval of CIS case management authorization through KEPRO/MaineCare - including authorization timelines, scheduling, and completion of required case management initial and annual assessments, section 17 letters, and diagnostic verification forms) as needed.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state of Maine licensure as LCSW, LMSW-CC, LCPC, LCPC-C or LMFT.
- Must reside in the State of Maine
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and medical documentation requirements and practices in Maine.
- Experience working with marginalized populations is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of gender issues and diversity, equality and inclusion in counseling is a plus.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience working within an electronic medical records required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in the mental health field required.
